FINDING MOTIVATION IN TOUGH TIMES
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
- Bruce lee
The above quote from Bruce lee is by far the best lines I have heard to this day. His analogy with water talks about keeping the right balance in our lives and constantly moving forward no matter what.
Just like water can adjust to any shape, size or path, we, in this pandemic, should show grit and perseverance to come out of it.
Water may be slow and soft but can drown the entire district when at full rage. Similarly, up-skill everyday, bring a smile to someone's face, talk to your loved ones, keep fit because eventually things will pan out the way it is meant to be.
No external force in the world can motivate us unless we want to. Therefore, we can practice the below methods for self-motivation:
1. Listen to your favorite music
2. Learn something new everyday.
3. Participate in outdoor activities, listen to Ted talks, join a webinar etc.
4. Stay away from negative influences.
So, don't get disheartened if nothing has worked out yet because good things take time.
Just like in sports, there is always another game.
